How Much Does Window Screen Repair Cost in St. Petersburg?
Share
Hey, Josh here, Elite Carpentry Restorations out of Lealman. Folks along 4th Street North and over in Gulfport keep asking what a torn window screen actually runs. Fair question. Down here the salt air off Tampa Bay and those afternoon storms chew spline and fiberglass up fast. I've watched cheap big-box patches blow out after one wet season, and I hate seeing it.
Around Pinellas, a simple window screen rescreen often gets talked about in the $45 to $85 range per opening when the aluminum frame is still straight and you're doing more than one. A one-off visit usually lands closer to our other small repairs, about $150 to $400, because the trip and the setup are the real cost. Pet screen, solar mesh, and no-see-um bug screen run more than standard fiberglass. Bent corners, salt-pitted frames near the water in Shore Acres or Snell Isle, or a second-story slider, those push it too. Patio cages and full lanai rescreens are a different job. This is house windows and screen doors.
I don't throw a number off a photo and hope. I come look, check the tracks and the casing, and give you a written price before anything starts. No travel fee in our main area. If the frame is shot, I'll say so. Rescreening beats a new frame when the metal is still sound.
We cover St. Petersburg, Largo, Clearwater, Seminole, Pinellas Park, Gulfport, and the rest of that 30-mile stretch.
